Magic Mouse started out as simply the basic mouse add-on for MacBook users who didn't want to use the fingerpad. It's sleek, stylish, and so it eventually became the best-selling Mac mouse, and even people with computers use it. However, the mouse is capable of a lot more than you may realize, and using the MagicPrefs program for Mac will allow you to tap into some pretty cool preferences and features of this mouse. For instance, you can create new and customized gestures that you can make with your mouse, various toolbar applications, and much more.

MagicPrefs is a program created by the company of the same name, and this small-sized download is available for free. You don't have to keep the program running, but rather open it to tweak your mouse and close it again. It's available for the Mac and Mac OS X systems, with only an English language option available.

How MagicPrefs Works

Many people think Magic Mouse is great for a mouse, but it doesn't really do anything else. This is where MagicPrefs can show them that this isn't true. Once you open this program, you can see a range of different options. You're initially going to see a basic screen that looks like a typical mouse preferences page. You'll see touch sensitivity, tracking speed, click-lock, and other features. However, there's much more you can do.

The great part about all of these different options is that they're easy to figure out. And even if you don't know what something is exactly, you can easily test the feature out with your mouse, and keep it if you like, or just cancel the process if you don't, and it will not mess up any other settings.

MagicPrefs Features
